Seth Rogen’s Weight Loss Explained: His diet and workout

Sources say that Seth Rogen lost weight due to a diet called ‘The Five Factor Diet’

I will in this post analyze and explain the five factor routine and compare it to other routines as well.

The Below is sourced from the official website of the five factor diet:

Seth Rogen’s weight loss explained: His Diet and Workout

5-week plan
This plan is designed to give you results in five weeks! And it’s so easy and effective that you may naturally turn your five-week plan into a lifestyle (as many of Harley’s personal clients tend to do).

5 meals a day
Say so long to hunger and cravings. By eating five 5-Factor meals every day, not only will you start losing weight but you’ll feel less hungry throughout the day!

5-ingredient meals
Eating delicious and healthy meals doesn’t have to be hard. Members get hundreds of recipes that use only five ingredients and take only five minutes to prepare.

25-minute workouts
Based on Harley’s training experience, he believes that working out more often for shorter periods of time is more effective than spending hours at the gym.

5 cheat days in 5 weeks
Taking a diet break one day a week can empower you. You should never feel as if you’re in a diet prison! Plus, Harley believes that controlled cheating can actually help you reach your goals.

5 week plan:

To tell the truth, I never see the point of something which says ‘4 week plan’ or something, I mean what after the four weeks? Do you get back to hogging donuts?

Of course, I am sure nobody would do that but like he himself suggests that a lot of people make the ‘5 factor diet’ a lifestyle, which is all well and good other than the fact that eating in small quantities multiple times a day has been covered a million times anyway.

Five Meals A Day and Five Ingredients a Day:

This is good logic, its useful to keep the metabolism revving like an engine.

There is one more condition to the eating:

each meal should constitute of Lean Protein, Complex Carbohydrates, Good fat and Low GI Fiber.

Sources of lean protein would be: Turkey, Fish, egg whites and Pork Chops (google for more sources)

Complex Carbs include: Brown rice, wheat bread, vegetables, cornflakes (This also effectively includes the Fiber)

Sources of good fat are: Olive Oil, Walnuts, Almonds, Fish (other meats also have some good fat)

The diet also insists on a high water intake.

25 minute Workout:

This part indicates that the routine is not very intense and the speed of results will be just above average.

It goes in this fashion:

5 minute warm up:

5 minute upper body

5 minute lower body

5 minute cardio

5 minute stretching

Now circuit training is good for losing fat at a moderate speed but it is nothing compared to HIIT.

I bluff you not but if you do my routine, you’ll lose weight much faster (although mine is way tougher to do)

The exercise is always good for you, so props to him anyway but I always prefer heavier workouts with much higher intensity.

5 cheat days in 5 weeks

Thats the person’s lookout.

Personally if you ask me, there should be NO CHEAT DAYS.

I mean imagine gobbling down the transfat in the pizza, it nearly screwes up 3-4 days of your hard work, why cheat on yourself?

I never said food doesn’t have to be tasty, of course you have to eat tasty food but HEALTHY TASTY FOOD.

No unhealthy stuff, period.

If I have to rate this routine, I’ll give a 6.5/10

I mean I understand this diet is good but it is not great and like the creator of this diet himself says it, this diet is created for celebrities who have like almost no time on their hands and ability to spend a load of cash.

This diet is useful when you travel insanely and get no time whatsoever to have a tough routine.

So think about it if this routine suits you.

my guess is that at maximum you can lose 7-8lbs a month.

Even Seth Rogen didn’t lose more than what… 30 pounds? in like 9 months? Thats terrible in my opinion.

You could lose that much in 4 months if you are doing a really tough routine with heavy workouts.

Of course, I would recommend this routine to you if you are an extremely busy person.

Kudos,

Vineshp.

3 Tips for Successful Weight Loss

There are many diets, exercise programs, and weight loss supplements out there that claim they can help you to lose pounds of fat in short amounts of time.  Many of these programs come and go because they do not promote healthy weight loss.   Many weight loss supplements become popular and then there is a health warning about them.  Here are three tips to ensure you are losing weight in a healthy and safe manner.
Exercise.  Many diet plans claim you can lose weight without exercise.  It is true that you can lose weight by diet alone; however, it is very difficult to maintain weight loss from diets after you start eating regular foods again.

When you are exercising you are burning calories and fat.  A good exercise plan will have cardio, stretching aspects, and strength training elements to it.  There are many cardio options at home, outdoors, or the gym.  You can do workout DVDs; go running, hiking, biking, or swimming; there is a wide variety of class offered at the gym or you can use the elliptical or treadmill.  Strength training will add lean muscles to your body.  Lean muscle burns more calories while you are resting.  Stretching also helps you to create the lean muscle.  Other than adding to your flexibility, stretching elongates the muscle fibers making them become long and lean.  Another good way to help you get lean muscle is to take a whey protein supplement.  Whey protein is easy to digest compared to soy protein supplements.  The best kind of whey protein is an isolate.  It has 90% pure protein with fewer fats and carbohydrates than concentrates.

Healthy Diet.  There are a lot of fad diets out there that say you can eat whatever you want and sill lose weight.  But wait a minute.  Didn’t eating whatever you want get you here to begin with?  Along with exercise, a good weight loss plan includes a healthy diet.  A healthy diet includes fruits, vegetables, good carbohydrates (complex carbohydrates) to give you energy, lean meats, and good fats.  Yes, there are good fats.  These fats are essential to our body’s well being.  Contrary to what some of the fad diets tell you, not all carbohydrates are bad.  Good carbohydrates include whole grains/wheat, fruits, vegetables, and beans.  They have more nutrients and more fiber than the simple carbohydrates.

Water.  Water is a very important liquid.  It is natural and abundant.  It doesn’t have any fillers or added sweeteners.  If you want to lose weight, experts suggest that you drink about a gallon of water a day.  Contrary to popular belief, drinking water does not make you gain water weight.  Water is needed to flush the fat that is burned out of your body.  It keeps your muscle plump and your skink looking vibrant.  Diet sodas and juices are no substitute for water.  They contain artificial sweeteners and added sugars that are bad for you.  Diet sodas are filled with empty calories.  Anyone looking to lose weight should stay away from diet sodas and juices.

No matter how many diets or weight loss supplements there are in the world, experts agree that the best way to lose weight is through proper dieting, exercise and drinking water.

3 Top Secret Reasons Why You have not confronted Your true Health and Fitness Potential

3 Top Secret Reasons Why You have not confronted Your true Health and Fitness Potential

How to Resolve Unfinished Business by Mastering your Weight loss Fears and Doubts

First lets start with going over all the what I call Unfinished business in your life this is a term I will be referring to often in this article. By unfinished business I mean all the messes you havn’t dealt with. You may be struggling with legal, financial, relationship, organizational, health, physical fitness balance, weight loss, or career messes just to name a few. When you allow these to build up in your life, they can overwhelm you. The reason many people won’t deal with this unfinished business is fear. Fear breeds doubt and , and doubt leads to a loss of confidence. It’s a vicious cycle. If you leave these constant building blocks in you life and unresolved, a downward spiral begins and is soon gaining momentum. Suddenly life is out of control. This excess baggage is dead weight around your neck. It can bring you to a standstill and this my friends is not fun at all I have been there and choose never to go back.

The result is a tremendous drain on your energy. Some people have accumulated so much unfinished business over the years, it feels like they’re pulling an elephant along behind them. There are three ways to handle this so lets get started:

1. You can play the denial and blame game.

Some people pretend it’s not really happening. For example, a man worrying about his debt-load refuses to look at the real numbers in hope that they will somehow disappear. Rather than change bad habits, such as spending more than he makes, he finds it easier to live in fantasy world. Denial usually results in major consequences of the variety you won’t like. Let us also examine this from a health point of view you continually eat fast food loaded in hidden fats and excess calories day in day out for days, weeks, months, years and then comes heart disease, obesity, diabetes, low back pain, knee problems, insomnia, and the list goes on my friends. This is real and you need to be truthful to yourself and the realities of what happens of years of abusing your health.

2. You can go into limbo the choice is yours.

Life sort of stops and you tread water. You don’t fall back, but you don’t make any progress either. It’s frustrating, and of course the unfinished business is still there waiting to be dealt with later. Being in limbo keeps you stuck. I see this all the time and I know living a life full of constant struggles and no action is not the way to overcome your fears and doubts.

3. You can confront the Issue Head On and Never Look back.

This seems like the obvious course of action, yet so many people choose the previous two options. Why? We usually don’t like confrontation-it’s uncomfortable and there’s and there’s a certain amount of risk involved. Sometimes it can be painful, and may not work out the way you wanted it to. Here’s a phrase that will help you: Step into your fear.

I hope this article will help you in your life and take the steps necessary towards your health and fitness achievment. Your road to freedom can be yours with these helpful tips, learn to be happy, visualize your dreams, learn to forgive others and yourself, keep a healthy peace of mind and stay focused on the big picture, and lastly prosperity can be yours my friends. Have a healthy and happy day!
